PLANT A HISTORIC TREE ON YOUR STREET

Here's How To Do It

In 1919, Mr. Forkner hired Horace Cotton, a landscape architect from San Francisco, to design the plantings that would line the streets of the Forkner Giffen Tract. Each street would be planted with a selected tree species. Read more about this design here.

1. Find your street and its historic tree here.

2. Contact Dan Gallagher at dlgalla@fresnounified.org if you want to have trees planted from the updated historic plan. The approximate cost is $200 each. Please include your name, address and phone number.
